Elec-Tone Reunion Benefit Concert

The Christopher Youth Center (formerly known as Our House) was founded by Dr. Carol Christopher, and serves the youth and families in NE Louisiana. 

In addition to her work as the Executive Director of the CYC, Dr. Christopher was a professor of music at ULM and directed the very well-known and popular ensemble, the Elec-Tones.  The E.T.’s as they were fondly called, performed throughout the ARK-LA-MISS, for many campus, community, and civic events.  They performed for many distinguished guests and dignitaries including the Governor of Louisiana, Edwin Edwards and were featured as the opening act for Dick Clark.  The Elec-Tones were invited to perform at the American Choral Directors Association to represent the university in the jazz show choir category and were highly regarded for their standard of excellence in that genre of choral music. 

Former members of the Elec-Tones are coming together to share their musical talents once again, not only to honor Dr. Christopher, but to raise funds and awareness for the Christopher Youth Center.  The event will be a fun and entertaining evening of musical stylings, accompanied by a fine combo and will include local E.T.’s such as Laura (Terry) and Kent Arrington, Deanne (Moore) Keltner, Cindy (Heckford) McKinney, Kathy Cordova and more, and also from members who are returning to their musical “home” from several different states; Bruce and Penny Bennett, Wanda Boley, Dianne (Beal) Amick, and Lisa (Lee) Phifer to name a few.

Seating is limited, so hurry and get your tickets for the Elec-Tones Benefit Concert for the Christopher Youth Center. Ticket prices are  $20. for ages 13-Adult and $10. for ages 12 and under.  All proceeds will be donated to the Christopher Youth Center.
